Mike Stern (1953) is a six-time Grammy nominee jazz guitar hero. He played with Blood, Sweat & Tears, with drummer Billy Cobham and then broke through with Miles Davis' band. After that he released more than a dozen solo-albums, played with almost every famous fusion-musician and he became known as one of the
best guitar-players of the planet. He was Best Jazz Guitarist of 1993 by Guitar Player magazine, he was honored with the Miles Davis Award, was listed on Down Beat's list of 75 best jazz guitar players of all time, he received the Certified Legend Award of Guitar Player magazine, won the Orville W. Gibson Award for Best Jazz Guitarist etc etc.
