Jazz in Wageningen is deeply honoured to have Ron Carter at our stage on October 25. The line up will be completed by Russell Malone on guitar and Donald Vega on piano. Each of these giants are a valid reason to decline any invitation, even by the Pope. 

Contemporary jazz

Ron Carter played from 1963-1968 (a groundbreaking period) in the band of Miles Davis. And he also played with Eric Dolphy, Cannonball Adderley, Mal Waldron, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Wayne  

Shorter, Tony Williams, James Brown and A Tribe Called Quest, just to name a few. He won two Grammy Awards and can be heard on a dazzling amount of 2.500 albums. Ron Carter is one the most influential contemporary Jazz masters still alive.
