Bernard van Rossum Quartet
Bernard van Rossum is a Hispano-Dutch saxophonist, composer and arranger. After studying in Barcelona and USA, he obtained a Bachelor and Master degree in Jazz Saxophone at the Amsterdam Conservatory. After 3 critically acclaimed albums with his BvR Flamenco Big Band, van Rossum presents his debut Quartet album, featuring all original compositions and some of the scene's most acclaimed musicians, among them multi-award-winning pianist Xavi Torres. Bernard was awarded the Meerjazz International Big Band Competition (2014), the Keep an Eye on Jazz Award (2015) and "Rogier van Otterloo award" last year in association with the Metropole Orkest.
