Takuya Kuroda
Takuya is from Feb 21, 1980 and was born in Kobe (Japan). He moved to the US at the age of 23 to study jazz and contemporary music at Berklee (Boston) and The New School (New York). There he developed his own style that draws from different genres. From hip hop and afrobeat to jazz, soul and funk. With a groove guarantee so to say. Takuya collaborates with many different musicians in the New York music scene and is a fine example of a multi-genre musician. Contemporary musical developments on the Jazz stage in Wageningen.
Jose James
He worked intensively with his fellow student and friend José James and in 2014 they made the album Rising Son (released by Blue Note). Since then he has released a number of remarkable albums, the latest Midnight Crisp from 2022 that we particularly like.
Takuya Kuroda (trumpet) is coming to Wageningen with Corey King (trombone and voals), Taka Izumikawa (keys), Rashaan Carter (bass) and Adam Jackson (drums). We think this will be a memorable concert that we will remember for a long time. Not to be missed. So order your tickets quickly.
