Stories

You've never heard anything like this before. Saxophone player Oded Tzur, who is based in New York, tells stories with his saxophone. He uses old Eastern techniques that he learned from Indian masters and new jazz techniques that he learned in the Tel Aviv jazz scene and in the US. His music moves between very quiet passages and exuberant discharges. His technique is now used by saxophonists all over the world. He gives lectures about it at music schools and famous institutes. If you want to know more about it, we recommend searching on Youtube where he tells wonderful stories about stories and music.

Oded Tzur Quartet

In 2011, he started the Oded Tzur Quartet with himself on saxophone, Nitai Hershkovits on piano, Petros Klampanis on bass and Johnathan Blake on drums. Since its inception, this quartet has performed on many stages around the world. The three albums, "Like a Great River", "Translator's Note" (Enja Records) and "Here Be Dragons" (ECM Records) received extraordinary critical acclaim and established Tzur as a unique voice in today's jazz scene. The band is called "The Coltrane Quartet of the 21st Century" by connoisseurs. A signal that this musical collaboration should be taken seriously. Our warm advice is therefore not

to miss this concert and order a ticket right now.
