In 2022/2023 Jazz in Wageningen, Loburg Live and Popupop again organize a series of jazz concerts on Thursday evenings. Under the title "Jasper Somsen invites", bassplayer Jasper invites the best Dutch jazz musicians to play together live on the stage of Loburg. These concerts start at 20.30h and end around 22.30h. You can choose the entrance fee yourself. You can go completely free if your budget requires it. Then you buy a ticket for €0. If you can spare something, you can buy a ticket for €5 or €10. With which we can keep the musicians and the concerts alive.

Jasper Somsen

international stages and with many famous musicians including Joey Calderazzo, Enrico Pieranunzi, Bob Sheppard, Gabriele Mirabassi, John Engels, Toon Roos, Jeroen van Vliet, Yuri Honing, Rita Reys, Eric Vloeimans, Michiel Borstlap, Nancy Marano and Lori Lieberman. He studied there at New York University and performed with Randy Brecker and Eddie Daniels, among others. On his return to the Netherlands he became the regular pianist of the Metropole Orkest, with which

he won a Grammy Award and collaborated with the likes of Ivan Lins, John Scofield, Al Jarreau, Vince Mendoza and Kurt Elling.
