DINGO

Dingo is an atmospheric and surprising 1991 film in which the worlds of jazz, dreams, and the pursuit of success beautifully converge. The film tells the story of John Anderson, an Australian pilot who has dreamed of a life as a jazz musician since childhood. When he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with his great idol—the legendary trumpeter Billy Cross—his life changes forever. Jazz icon Miles Davis shines in the role of Billy Cross. With his distinctive presence and natural charisma, Davis lends the film a unique authenticity. His presence makes *Dingo* compelling not only for film enthusiasts but, above all, for anyone who loves jazz.
The film captures the atmosphere of the 1990s, taking you from vast Australian landscapes to the nightclubs and stages of the jazz world. It is a beautiful film about dreams, music, and the courage to follow one's own path, with Miles Davis at its unforgettable heart.

Ella Zirina & Teis Semey
The interval between the two films takes on a genuine festival atmosphere. In addition to the chance to enjoy some food and drinks, there is live music—and not just any music! Two up-and-coming international guitarists are taking the stage together.
First up is Ella Zirina. Ella Zirina (b. 1997) is an Amsterdam-based jazz guitarist, composer, and bandleader from Latvia. Recognized by NRC as a 'Rising Star' and named Guitarist of the Year (Benelux) in the Gitarist.nl Poll Awards 2026, she is known for her distinctive approach to textures and the new colors, perspectives, and aesthetics she brings to the instrument.
Zirina shares the stage with Teis Semey. Danish guitarist Teis Semey (b. 1993)—dubbed the 'bad boy of Dutch jazz' by Trouw—has made a name for himself across Europe in recent years. Best known for the Teis Semey Quintet and Raw Fish, Semey demonstrates a modern approach to the electric guitar: a combination of high volume, great precision, high energy, and deep sensitivity.

Everybody digs Bill Evans

Everybody Digs Bill Evans is a 2026 Irish-British biographical film directed by Grant Gee, based on the book Intermission by Owen Martell, about the life of American jazz pianist Bill Evans. Anders Danielsen Lie plays the lead role.
New York, June 1961. Legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans has formed the perfect trio with drummer Paul Motian and bassist Scott LaFaro, his musical soulmate. Following a series of performances at the Village Vanguard in New York, the trio records two of the greatest jazz albums of all time in a single day. Just a few days later, LaFaro is tragically killed in a car accident; numb with grief, Evans stops playing for the first time since his youth. The film shifts between Evans's present and future, his sobriety and addiction, and his relationships with his family and his girlfriend—with whom he has an on-again, off-again relationship and shares both a taste in music and a history of drug use.
